Stonewall Falls Mountain Bike is a hard mountain biking route on natural surface, set in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in northern Georgia. It is a loop of about 11.4 miles, with a total climb of 1,044 feet and a total descent of 1,356 feet, and it is managed by the Forest Service. The route starts at roughly 2,113 feet and reaches a high point of about 2,412 feet before returning to the starting elevation. The trail has a steady climb profile, and the steepest stretch comes around 3.8 miles in, with a grade of about 18%. It is a long, challenging ride, and riders should expect to spend about 4.5 hours on the trail, which is open year-round. For comfortable conditions, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Clayton run to highs around 76°F in May and 79°F in September, with October highs near 71°F. That station sits about 447 feet below the trail's high point, so temperatures on the route run a little cooler. Stonewall Spur B and White Twister Mountain Bike Tr are both within about a mile, and Rabun Beach Recreation Area offers camping about 5 miles away. Tallulah Gorge, a climbing area, is roughly 7 miles off.
