Pathkiller is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Cloudland Canyon State Park in northwest Georgia, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is about 1.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 51 feet, and it reaches a high point of 1,900 feet. The climb is flat, with the steepest stretch at about 0.5 miles in, where the grade reaches 5 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically October and May, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run around 67°F and 74°F. That station sits about 15 miles away and at a similar elevation, so temperatures on the trail should run close to those figures. The hike takes about half an hour, and it makes an easy pairing with other trails in the park. The Two-Mile Backcountry Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Cloudland Canyon and Meadowlands Trail hikes are each about 0.3 mile off. Paddlers can find Sitton Gulch Creek about 2.5 miles away.
