Cochran Creek Falls is a moderate hike of about 1.9 miles in the Blue Ridge Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in north Georgia, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced and rated moderate, with a one-way climb of about 288 feet and a total round-trip gain of about 557 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.8 miles, with a grade of about 9 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Jasper show October highs around 69°F and May highs around 75°F, while July averages about 85°F and January highs sit near 48°F. Cochran Falls, a climbing area, lies about 1.6 miles away.
