Sandhill Trail is an easy hike of about 1.7 miles in Silver River State Park in Florida, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is nearly flat, with a high point of 74 feet and a low of 55 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 1.1 miles in, with a grade of 3 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically November and March, when typical averages from the nearby Ocala weather station run from highs around 77°F to 79°F and wet days are about six or seven a month. Summer is hotter and wetter, with highs near 92°F and 17 wet days in July and August. Bikes are allowed, and dogs must be leashed. The trail is not wheelchair accessible. The closest neighbors are Sinkhole Trail, about 0.3 miles away, and Swamp Trail, about 0.6 miles away. River Trail and Military Trail Loop are each about 0.8 miles off.
