Lunch Rock Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.4 miles from the town of Mount Hope. The route is a point-to-point walk of roughly 0.3 miles, with a total elevation gain of about 23 feet. It is a flat, low-effort outing, and the climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 5% grade near the middle of the route. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Storrs show July highs around 80°F and September highs near 73°F, with lows in the 50s and 60s. The Loop Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Mt. Hope Park Trails is about 0.4 mile off. Climbers can find Joshua's Trust Land about 1.4 miles away, and paddlers can reach the Still River roughly 9 miles out.
