The Hiltebeitel Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 0.8 miles long and rising roughly 150 feet from its starting point. It is a point-to-point route, and the steepest stretch comes near the end, at about 0.7 miles, where the grade reaches 10 percent. The trail begins at an elevation of about 508 feet and reaches a high point of about 531 feet before descending slightly to around 367 feet at the end. The nearest town is Godfrey Corner, about 1.3 miles away. The trail sits close to several other routes, including the Sap Brook Trail, about 0.1 mile away, and the Godfrey Trail, about 0.3 mile away. Ensor's Terrace is about 0.6 mile off, and the Great Ledge climbing area is about 1.4 miles away.
