Third Pinnacle is a climbing area on city land in the Austin - Russell area of Colorado, about a mile from Boulder. It sits within a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, so it works well as a stop in a day spent exploring the surrounding canyon and trails. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Boulder show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 79°F, with July peaking near 88°F. Gregory Canyon (including The Amphitheatre) and the Amphitheater Trail are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Saddle Rock Trail is just as close. For a longer outing, Winiger Ridge campground lies about 5 miles off.
