Gregory Canyon, including The Amphitheatre, is a climbing area on city land in the Austin - Russell area of Boulder, Colorado, about 1.4 miles from the Boulder weather station. The Amphitheatre is a climbing area within the canyon, and Third Pinnacle sits about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Boulder station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 79°F, while July averages about 88°F and January highs sit near 47°F. Several other climbing and hiking spots are close by. The Amphitheater Trail and Saddle Rock Trail are each about 0.2 mile away, and the Bluebell-Baird Trail is a similar distance. For paddling, Boulder Creek is about 1.4 miles off.
