Continental Crag is a climbing area within Eldorado Canyon State Park in Colorado, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits close to the Lower and Upper Peanuts climbing areas and the Fowler West Trail, all within a tenth of a mile. The area has 16 routes, 15 of which are traditional and one is mixed. Grades range from 5.6 to 5.11c, with the median at 5.9. Among the routes are Continental Soldier at 5.6 and Primal Scream at 5.11c. For the most comfortable climbing weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 76°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the crag, so temperatures up here run a bit cooler. Camping is available at Winiger Ridge, about 4.7 miles away, and at Sourdough Springs Campground, about 6.5 miles away. Boulder Creek, a canoeing spot, is roughly 5.9 miles off.
