Cartoon Crag is a climbing area within Eldorado Canyon State Park in Colorado, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, so it works well as one stop in a day of exploring the park. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show September highs around 76°F with lows near 51°F, and May highs around 69°F, while July climbs to about 87°F. Supremacy Rock and Water Rock are climbing areas just 0.1 mile away, and RattleSnake Gulch Trail starts at the same distance. For an overnight stay, Winiger Ridge campground is about 4.5 miles off.
