Block 2 is a bouldering area on city land in Colorado, set within the Dunn I land unit. It sits about 0.2 miles from the Towhee Trail and 0.3 miles from the South Boulder Creek West Trail, which makes it an easy addition to a short outing on the surrounding network of hiking and climbing. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the site. The grades range from V1- to V3, so there's a mix of options for climbers of different experience levels. Black Dike is the easiest, at V1-, while Scoop Face is the hardest, at V3. The Boulder, CO weather station, about 3 miles away, sits a few hundred feet lower than the area, so temperatures here run slightly cooler. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 79°F.
