It sits within the state park, and the Wind Tower - SW Face and Whale's Tail, The climbing areas are both about 0.1 mile away. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show September highs around 76°F with lows near 51°F, and May is similar at about 69°F and 45°F. July is the warmest month, with highs near 87°F. The station sits at nearly the same elevation as the climbing area, so these figures are a fair guide to conditions here.
