Spring Creek is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Grand Valley Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests in western Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 5.7 miles long, and the total climb from start to finish is about 2,121 feet, with the high point at roughly 8,720 feet and the low point at about 8,479 feet. The trip takes about three hours. The route has a steady climb, and the steepest stretch comes around mile 1.6, where the grade reaches about 14 percent. The trail starts near 8,654 feet and ends at about the same elevation, so it's a full round trip. Several other trails sit within a few miles.
