Homestead Meadows is a hard hike in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 11 miles, with a one-way climb of roughly 300 feet from a low point of about 8,300 feet to a high of about 9,135 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Allenspark put July highs around 74°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both bikes and horses. Pierson Park Trail is about 0.3 miles away and Hill Homestead about 0.9 miles. Climbers can head to Upper Great Face, about 2.5 miles off, and Meeker Park Overflow Campground is about 4.8 miles away.
