Hinman Creek is a 12.7-mile out-and-back hike on natural-surfaced trails in the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Colorado. The route rises from 7,808 feet to 8,647 feet, a climb of 839 feet one way, and is rated hard. The Forest Service manages the land. Bicycles and horses are both allowed on the trail. The trip starts at the Hinman Creek Trailhead, and the forest keeps it open year-round. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from the nearby Spicer weather station run around 77°F for highs and 42°F for lows, while winter highs there sit in the 20s. Climbers will find Cougar and Main Amphitheater about half a mile away. South Fork is a hike about 1.3 miles off, and Hinman Park Campground offers camping roughly 1.7 miles from the trailhead.
