Flowers is a hard hike in Colorado's Comanche Peak Wilderness, within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 8,150 feet to roughly 11,345 feet, a total gain of about 4,084 feet over a route of about 37.5 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but bikes are not permitted. The Flowers 4WD Trailhead is the parking for the trip. The route is long and steep, so plan on a full day. The high point is about 11,345 feet, and the low point is about 8,148 feet. The climb is one way, so the round trip is about 75 miles. Nearby, Beaver Creek and Browns Lake are both hikes within about a mile and a half. Big South Campground and Aspen Glen Campground are about 6 miles away.
