Divide is a short, easy hike in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 1.2 miles long, with a one-way climb of 43 feet from a low point of 7,888 feet to a high of 7,966 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and equestrians as well as hikers. It makes a quick outing for anyone already exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation show July highs around 78°F with lows near 47°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Frog Pond East Loop and Columbine North Loop, both mountain biking routes, sit within a third of a mile. Red Feather Lakes, a climbing area, is about 1.8 miles away, and Dowdy Lake Campground is about 2.2 miles off.
