Diamond Lake is a moderate loop hike of about 3 miles in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, part of the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail starts at roughly 11,080 feet, rising to about 11,506 feet before returning to the starting point. The climb is steady, with a total gain and loss of about 1,327 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.84 miles in, where the grade reaches 27%. The Diamond Lake Trail lies about half a mile away, and Old Baldy is about 0.6 miles off. Eldora, a climbing area, is about 2.9 miles away, and Rainbow Lakes Campground is about 4.1 miles away.
