Boulder "A" is a climbing area in Donner Memorial State Park, California, within the Truckee Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest. The land is managed by State Park and Recreation, and the park sits about 3.9 miles from a nearby weather station at Donner Memorial State Park. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from that station show July highs around 82°F with lows near 44°F and only about two wet days in the month. Winter is much colder, with January highs around 41°F and lows near 17°F. The Sarlacc Boulder and Saddles climbing areas are each about 0.1 mile away. The Emigrant Trail is 0.4 mile off, and the Mt. Judah Loop is 1.4 miles away.
