Space Wall is a climbing area in California's Tahoe National Forest, on the Truckee Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the spot sits right alongside the Donner Pass and The Peanut Gallery climbing areas, both about 0.1 mile away. The area has 10 routes, with styles including sport, mixed and trad. Grades range from 5.6 to 5.12- on the YDS scale, with several 5.11a routes such as Kwijiwabo and Made In Japan. The Black Hole is a mixed route at 5.6, and Dark Side Of The Moon is a trad route at 5.10b. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. A nearby weather station records typical July highs around 82°F and lows near 44°F, with only about two wet days in the month. That station sits roughly 860 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000 and the Donner Summit Lakes Trail are both about 0.7 mile away. Milton Reservoir is 1.7 miles off, and Granite Flat campground is about 6 miles away.
