Pissoir Boulder is a bouldering area in Skofield Park, a city-managed park in California. The name is a boulderer's joke, and the routes live up to it: five boulder problems sit here, ranging from V0 to V4, with the hardest one, 2 Francs to Glory, at V4. The climbing is all bouldering, and the area is small enough to fit into a short visit. The closest neighbors are Broken Boulder and Makeover Stones, both about 0.1 mile away, and the Rattlesnake hike, also about 0.1 mile off. That makes it easy to pair with other climbing or a walk in the park. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Santa Barbara show highs around 72 to 78°F from May through September, with almost no wet days in July and August. That station sits well below the park, so temperatures on the boulders run cooler. For an overnight stay, Upper Oso Campground is about 7.6 miles away, and Sage Hill, a saltwater fishing spot, is about 7.9 miles away.
