Pigeon Pass Area is a bouldering area in California, set within Box Springs Mountain Park on county land about 0.3 miles from the Skyline Loop #1 trail and 0.4 miles from the Two Trees Trail. It is a short walk from several other climbing and hiking spots in the park, which makes it easy to pair with a longer outing on foot. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 74°F in April and 82°F in October, while July and August average highs in the mid-90s. That station sits about 670 feet lower than the park, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The area has four bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale. Travis' Crack is the easiest at V0+, and Make America Exotic and Doc Mantle sit at V4- and V4. The Two Trees Trail Area and Belvedere Heights Area are both within a mile, and paddlers can reach the San Timoteo Wash about 5 miles away.
