Mondo Boulder is a bouldering area in California's Inyo National Forest, within the White Mountain Ranger District. It sits on city land, and the surrounding area is a cluster of bouldering spots, with The Dreamers, Walling Boulders and Thimble Boulders all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 11 routes on the V scale ranging from V0- to V4. The Mondo Wall is the hardest at V4, and the Pocket Wall and Robert Nesta Marley are both V0. The area is best suited to climbers who want a day of bouldering on a single outing, with several other bouldering areas close by. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mammoth Lakes show July highs around 78°F with lows near 49°F, while winter highs stay around 41°F. That station sits about 668 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Lower Rock Creek is a hike about 1.9 miles away, and Tuff Campground is about 2.1 miles off.
