Lower Tier (Right Side) is a climbing area in the Front Country Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits on the right side of the Lower Tier, and the Middle Tier (Right Side) lies just 0.1 mile away. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Lake Arrowhead weather station, about 16 miles away, show May highs near 67°F and September highs near 74°F, with only a day or two of rain each month. Winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snow days a month. Other climbing is close by, with Middle Tier about 0.1 mile away. Hikers can head to Oak Glen Divide, about 1.7 miles off, and the Yucaipa Ridge Truck Trail is about 2.3 miles away. For an overnight stay, Thomas Hunting Grounds Yellow Post Sites is about 3.3 miles away.
