Hicks Road is a bouldering area in the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve in California, on land managed by a regional agency. It sits within a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with Roadside Rock just 0.1 mile away and the Guadalupe Trail about 0.2 mile off. The preserve's bouldering is all in the boulder style, and the two named routes here are Please Don't Break and Should've Brought Pads, both rated V1-2. The area is small, so it works well as a short stop rather than a full day's outing. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Los Gatos show May highs around 75°F and October highs around 76°F, with winter highs near 58°F and no snow days recorded in any month. The Guadalupe Trail and Enriquita Trail are both within half a mile, and Lower Guadalupe Rock is about 0.7 mile away. For paddling, the Guadalupe River is roughly 7.6 miles off.
