Ana's Chute is a short, easy mountain biking ride in California's Tahoe National Forest, within the Truckee Ranger District. The out-and-back route is about a mile long, with a one-way climb of 175 feet from the low point at 6,929 feet to the high point at 7,128 feet. The Forest Service manages the land. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 82°F in July and only about two wet days a month from July through September. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet below the ride, so temperatures up here run cooler. The Nose Dive and Nose Dive Bike Route are both about a tenth of a mile away. Power Line Boulder, a climbing area, and Milton Reservoir, a lake fishing spot, are each about a mile off.
