Wolford is a 2.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, part of the Weaverville Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest in northern California. The trail climbs from about 6,139 feet to about 7,111 feet, a gain of 952 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is on natural surface. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail is open year-round, so it works for a visit in any season. The climb is a steady one, and the route makes a good pairing with other outings in the area. Fox Creek Lake and Fox Creek Ridge are both within about a mile and a half, and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000 passes about 2 miles away. For an overnight stay, Carter Meadows Horse Group offers camping roughly 4.7 miles off.
