Tri-Forest is a hard hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, part of the Salmon River Ranger District of Klamath National Forest in northern California. The route is an out-and-back that climbs from about 4,900 feet to roughly 7,200 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 2,400 feet over a distance of about 13.6 miles. The trail is natural-surface, and the Forest Service manages the land. The hike starts close to several other destinations. Caribou Lake and Yellow Rose are both within a third of a mile, and Big Flat Campground is about 0.3 miles away. For a longer outing, the Trinity Alps climbing area lies about 4.6 miles off.
