Touhy Gap is a 2.8-mile out-and-back hike in the Golden Trout Wilderness, part of the Western Divide Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California. The trail is rated easy, and it gains about 840 feet from its low point of 7,559 feet to a high of 8,421 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is natural-surfaced. The hike is open year-round, and the surrounding wilderness makes it a compact outing for a day in the high country. The climb is steady rather than steep, and the route works well as a short trip into the backcountry. Summit Lake and the Touhy hike both lie about 1.7 miles away, and Windy Ridge is about 1.9 miles off. For an overnight stay, Wishon Campground is roughly 7.6 miles away.
