Devils Canyon is a 3.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Western Divide Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 4,066 feet to about 5,215 feet, with an elevation gain of 1,124 feet one way. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Lodgepole weather station, about 21 miles away, show July and August highs around 76°F with lows in the mid-40s and only a couple of wet days a month. Winter brings highs in the upper 30s and frequent snow days. The trail is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes. Grouse Valley Cabins, about a mile away, is the closest place to stay. The South Fork Kaweah and Ladybug hikes are each a little over 4 miles off, and the Whiskey Log hike is about 5 miles away.
