Sandridge Lake is an easy, out-and-back hike in the Truckee Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California, about 1.1 miles long with an elevation gain of 189 feet. The route climbs from 7,613 feet to 7,828 feet, and the Forest Service manages the surrounding land. The trail is open year round, and the surface is natural. Both bikes and horses are allowed on the path. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At a nearby weather station, typical July averages run around 80°F for highs and 37°F for lows. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the hike run cooler. Castle Peak Trail lies about 0.8 miles away, and Hole in the Ground, a mountain biking spot, is about 0.9 miles away. Climbers can head to Overking Boulder, about 2 miles off. For an overnight stay, White Rock campground is about 3.7 miles away.
