Deadman Peak is a short, easy hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, part of the Scott River and Weaverville ranger districts of Klamath National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the nearest town is Foster, about 5 miles away. The route is an out-and-back of about 2 miles, with a low point at 6,746 feet and a high point at 6,935 feet. The trail is natural-surface, and it allows horses. Bikes are not permitted. The peak sits among a cluster of trails. Fish Lake Creek Trail and Fish Lake Creek are both within about a third of a mile, and South Fork Coffee Creek Trail is about half a mile off. For overnight stays, Carter Meadows Horse Group is roughly 3 miles away.
