Long Gulch Lake is a 4.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, part of the Scott River Ranger District of Klamath National Forest in northern California. The trail rises from about 6,400 feet to about 7,400 feet, a climb of roughly 1,000 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land. The route is a natural-surface trail, and the climb is spread across the full length of the hike. The high point at 7,398 feet sits near the lake, and the trip works well as a day in the backcountry, with several other trails and campgrounds within a few miles. Steveale Creek and Trail Gulch Tie are both under a mile away, and Trail Gulch Lake Trail is about a mile off. For an overnight stay, Carter Meadows Horse Group is about 2.6 miles away.
