Clicks Creek is a hard hike in the Golden Trout Wilderness, part of the Western Divide Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that climbs from about 6,040 feet to about 7,746 feet over 11 miles, with a total elevation gain of about 1,800 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Lodgepole weather station, about 30 miles away, show July and August highs around 76°F with lows in the mid-40s and only a couple of wet days a month. Winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. Quaking Aspen campground is about 1.5 miles away, and the Deer hike is about 1.2 miles off. The Hermit Spires climbing area is about 2.4 miles away, and the Little Kern River offers canoeing about 5 miles out.
