Cedar Park is an easy, paved hike in the Placerville Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California, about a mile from the community of Sly Park. The trail is 2.3 miles long and rises about 64 feet from its low point of 3,510 feet to a high of 3,587 feet, making it a gentle out-and-back. The trail is accessible and allows bikes, so it works for hikers, riders and anyone using a wheelchair. It's a short, low-effort outing that pairs easily with other stops in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Pacific House show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Sly Guard Cabin sits just 0.2 miles away, and Fleming Meadow Loop and Jenkinson Lake Loop are both within about 2 miles. Paddlers can reach the North Fork Cosumnes River about 4.6 miles off.
