Camp Creek is an easy out-and-back hike in the Placerville Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest, about 1.6 miles from the town of Happy Valley, California. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and runs about 1.9 miles, with a one-way climb of 504 feet from a low point of 3,088 feet to a high of 3,618 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and equestrians as well as hikers. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Pacific House show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Sciaroni is about 0.3 miles away and Fleming Meadow Loop about 0.5 miles. Sly Guard Cabin, a campground, is about 2.6 miles off, and the North Fork Cosumnes River, a canoeing route, is about 4.2 miles away.
