Stanislaus River Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Calaveras Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the site has vault toilets as its only listed amenity. A fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Calaveras Big Trees weather station, about 17.5 miles away, show July highs near 81°F and lows around 56°F, with only about one wet day in the month. Winter is colder and wetter, with highs in the mid-40s and roughly 11 wet days a month from December through February. Climbers will find the Stanislaus River Campground climbing area and Other Side of the River Wall just 0.1 mile away. Cow Camp is about a mile off for hiking. Utica Rocky Point campground is roughly 1.8 miles away.
