Utica Sandy Flat is a Forest Service campground in the Calaveras Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and reservoirs, with Utica Rocky Point just 0.2 miles away and Union West about 0.8 miles off. Vault toilets are the only amenity listed, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 80°F with lows in the low 40s and only about two wet days a month, while winter highs hover near 43°F with lows in the teens. Utica/Union Reservoirs, a lake fishing spot, is about half a mile away, and Spicer Reservoir is roughly 1.4 miles off. Climbers can find Other Side of the River Wall and Warm-up Wall about 1.9 miles from the campground.
