Shadow of the Miwok is a mountain biking route in the Summit Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest, in California. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route sits within the ranger district's boundaries about 0.2 miles from the Meadowview campground. The route is a short one: it's about 0.23 miles long, and the climb from the low point of 5,541 feet to the high point of 5,585 feet is only about 35 feet. That makes it a quick stop to add to a longer day on the surrounding trails. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Cherry Valley Dam show May highs around 70°F and October highs around 70°F, while July and August average highs near 89°F.
