Fort Goff is a Forest Service campground in the Oak Knoll Ranger District of Klamath National Forest in California. It sits in the forest's backcountry, and the nearest town is Cave Junction, Oregon, about 28 miles away. The site is simple. Vault toilets are the only amenity, and no fees are required to use it. That makes it an easy stop for an overnight stay without the need to plan around a fee or a developed campsite. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average about 94°F. Winter is cool and wet, with highs in the upper 40s and rain on roughly 15 to 18 days a month from December through March. Several trails start close by. Portuguese Creek is less than a mile away, and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes within about 3 miles. Darkey Creek is about 4 miles off, and Curly Jack Campground, another campground, is roughly 9 miles away.
