Watkins Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southwest Oregon. The nearest town is Ruch, about 15 miles away, and the site sits within the national forest's boundaries. Vault toilets are the only listed amenity. A fee is charged for stays. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ruch show May highs around 75°F and September highs around 85°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. Several trails start close by. Da-Ku-Be-Te-De is about 0.1 mile away and Payette about half a mile. Tipsu Tyee Campground is roughly 2 miles off, and the Applegate River, a paddling route, is about 2.2 miles away.
