Dark Day Campground sits on Bullards Bar Reservoir in California, within walking distance of the lake. It is managed by the Regional Water Districts and lies within the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest, on the New Bullards Bar Reservoir. The campground has 10 campsites and offers vault toilets. Bullards Bar Reservoir is a year-round fishing spot for a variety of fish, and the surrounding water makes it a good base for swimming, boating and water skiing. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average about 94°F. The Bullards Bar Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Seven Ball hike is about 0.6 mile off. Garden Point Boating and Hornswoggle campgrounds are both within about a mile.
