Hornswoggle is a Forest Service campground in the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the site has vault toilets. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average about 94°F with almost no wet days. The Schoolhouse hike starts just 0.2 miles away, and the Bullards Bar Trail is about 1.2 miles off. Dark Day campground and Garden Point Boating are both within about a mile and a half.
