Camp 9 Group #2 is a group campground within Camp 9 Lakeside Campgrounds on the Bureau of Land Management's Central California District, about 0.1 mile from Camp 9 Group #1 and the Camp 9 Recreation Area. It is managed by a concessionaire and serves groups of up to 35 people. The site offers a full range of lake-based recreation, including waterskiing, boating, swimming and fishing. Full shade is available, and the beach has mobility-impaired access. A fish cleaning station is on site, and a dump station for recreational vehicles costs $25 per dump. Vault toilets are among the listed amenities. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 81°F, while July and August average highs near 98°F. Lake Isabella, about 2.2 miles away, is the closest fishing spot. Backside Boulder and Campground 61, both about 2.7 miles off, offer climbing, and Isabella Peak Lookout, roughly 3.2 miles away, is a nearby hike.
