The Mulberry Wild and Scenic River is an easy out-and-back hike of about 9.8 miles in the Pleasant Hill Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land, and the route rises from about 829 feet to about 913 feet, with the steepest stretch at roughly 4.5 miles in, where the grade reaches 15%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Wolf Pen Campground sits just 0.1 mile from the trail, making it the natural base for an overnight stay. DeSoto Bouldering Area is about 3 miles away, the Mulberry River is about 5 miles away for paddlers, and Horsehead Lake Campground is about 7.6 miles away.
