Kings Bluff is a 3.6-mile hike in the Bayou Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated moderate, with a total elevation gain of 221 feet. The route starts at about 1,884 feet and reaches a high point of 1,901 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.3 miles in, where the grade reaches 19 percent. The trail is natural-surface and not accessible, and it does not allow bikes or horses. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Deer, AR, run to highs around 70°F in May and 75°F in September, with July and August warming to the low 80s.
