Welcome Wall is a climbing area on State Trust Land in Arizona, managed by the State Department of Land. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Coop, The Gap and The Prow all about a tenth of a mile away, which makes it easy to string together a day of sport climbing on the same stretch of rock. The routes here are all sport climbs, and they range from 5.8 up to 5.13-, with the median grade around 5.11b. Some of the named routes include You're Welcome at 5.8 and Pocket Knife at 5.11b, while No Purchase Necessary is the hardest at 5.13-. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 77°F and October highs around 79°F, while June and July average in the low to mid 90s. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run a little cooler.
