Upper Religion Wall is a climbing area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Lower Religion Wall and Church Wall each about 0.1 mile away. The area is a traditional climbing destination. Five routes are listed, all rated between 5.8 and 5.12 on the YDS scale. Quick route to religion is the easiest at 5.8, and Alpine Follies Hangover and Hey, Hey, Hey are the hardest at 5.12. Broken Arete, a 5.9, was first climbed by John Burcham and Seth Dyer, and Praying Hands is a 5.10+. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Oak Creek Canyon weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. The closest neighbors are Lower Religion Wall and Church Wall, both about 0.1 mile away, and the White Line mountain biking trail, about 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Chavez Crossing campground is about 1.3 miles away.
