Church Spires Area is a climbing area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and mountain biking spots, with East Twin Butte and Lower Religion Wall both about 0.1 mile away and White Line about the same distance. The area's climbing is all trad, with four routes ranging from 5.7+ to 5.12-. The Original North Face Route, first climbed in 1972 by Scott Baxter, Ross Hardwick, Karl Karlstrom and Geoff Parker, is the easiest at 5.7+. The North Face is 5.8, and the Good Friday - North Tower West Face is the hardest at 5.12-. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Oak Creek Canyon weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Chavez Crossing campground is about 1.4 miles away, and Crescent Moon Ramada is about 2.7 miles away. For paddling, Oak Creek is about 8.5 miles off.
