The Iron Wall is a trad climbing area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest, in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits about 0.1 mile from both the West End Wall and the Memorial Wall, which makes it easy to pair with those other walls in one visit. The climbing here is all traditional, and the routes run from about 5.9- up to 5.13-. Evening Breezeway is the easiest, and Iron Sharpens Iron is the hardest. Cast Iron and Pig Iron are both 5.10+. For the most comfortable conditions, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bellemont run to highs around 68°F in May and 74°F in September, while July and August bring the most wet days of the year. The station sits at about 7,150 feet, so temperatures on the actual wall may differ slightly. Nearby, Kelsey Spring #3 and Little Lo are both about 3 miles away, Sycamore Creek is about 4 miles off, and White Horse Lake Campground is about 5 miles away.
